Miley: The Movement was perfect. She is taking full control of her career and she knows exactly what she wants to do and where she is going. Reminds me of when Beypnce took creative control during the 4 era, except we all know how that turned out.
I agree with the bolded.
Pharrell said it best. "she's a by-product of America"

Or when Britney took control of her affairs except we all know how that turned out.
Couldn't Miley just come back with good music tho? It sure would feel less forced if she tried to break from her former teen-star image with an adult sound, she would even be able to swing naked on a wrecking ball and don't get half the criticism if her music sounded more honest.

She came back with the second-best pop song of the year though.
I will say that Miley is smart and I understand what she's doing. She was a former Disney girl and still largely had the image of innocent childhood star.
She had to do something more than drastic to forever erase, almost completely dismember, her present from the past. It's also why she insincerely said never to mention her old music, because she is trying to completely escape that in order to move forward as an adult star.
Let's face it, she'd be doing even worse than 250K sells predictions if she was still judged in that ilk. I mean, just look at Demi/Selena/and company.
She'll go back to "normal" soon enough, once the image is cemented.
None of it would have mattered if she hadn't delivered 3 songs and videos that range from good to great.
