The funny thing is though bob marley's singles have flopped, yet he is and always will be more iconic/influential than the so called princess of pop. I can't tell you Diana Ross's or Aretha Franklin's last top twenty hits but they are still legends/icons who were innovative and paved the way for many entertainers. Hit's don't equate to massive influence if that were the case wouldn't Phil Collins be more influential than the likes of Bob Marley, Etta James etc....
