Both are slightly above average singers or performers, they can bust a move and sing on key most of the time, there are far better but far worse too.
But they are good writers, every (or most, in Madonna's case) song on their albums have their co-writing credits on it.

Madonna still is smart. She always has been. Gaga isn't talentless. She has a great voice and plays piano beautifully. I don't think she is stupid. She just started falling for/believing her own hype way too fast. Her biggest problem is that her creative vision is often just poorly executed. One thing Madonna never fails at is execution.

He's basically TKO'd his chances of winning AOTY bc of the rather negative reaction to Pt.2.

The "Madonna can't dance" arguments just show how a lot of people on ATRL disregard anything that happened before 2005.

She grossed $300k out of her $12m budget with moderate reception too

Also, one thing I worry about with Gaga is her health. Although she's in shape she isn't as health conscious as Madonna which I think affects her a lot when it comes to touring. Madonna has really strict diets for her tours and in general tbh.

Obviously she is a better dancer than almost all the current crop of pop stars, but she does not really keep up with the 80s-early 00s standard.
