OMG i just realized it's #31 in France.

174,000?! That's 24,000 more than I came to peace with so I'm slightly happy about this. Which is weird because the number itself is pretty disappointing. It is what it is, though. (It still outsold Scream and Shout's first week, right? And that song went on to be a Top 3 hit on the Hot 100 and a global smash.)

Anyway, the song is great. It's critically acclaimed and radio is spinning it. People are streaming the audio. Britney seems happy and excited during her interviews. She looks better than she has in years (and I thought she looked hot during both Circus and Femme Fatale.) On top of that, she still has a music video to release for her single. (And that isn't even mentioning Larry and Caesars both saying that the Vegas shows are selling great and boosting hotel bookings.)

She could have sold 34k first week and I'd still be happy for her because she seems to be actually into it this time around. She's excited for the next stage of her career (her 8th album and Vegas) and that makes me excited for it too.

I never recognize Shania I think it's because I only really heard her on radio when I was little because I didn't really watch music videos. I love her styling in that video and wish Britney would wear something more feminine like that in a music video.

The good news is that all the Drake tracks are starting to fall, too. TKO is #18, so it's not like RCA is going to be totally disappointed with "Work Bitch."
