I just think, like Gaga, her popularity has decreased immensely (FF's sales say it all) and she can't expect to put a single and have it shoot to the top anymore without putting in the effort.
There's also the fact that EDM is dying in the US so they really should've gone with the Naughty Boy/William Orbit track as the lead single like originally planned
Either way the song hasn't done too bad, what other artist from the 90s has had their lead single top 50+ countries?
