Maybe you're more biased to rock and faux grunge-pop? Cause my ears are open to 95% of genres and I honestly did not like anything I heard from that set but Artpop (the song) and it was only 85% good imo.
Ratchet worked, it flowed, and it didn't seem like she TRIED to write it which is her main issue. When you sit down and FORCE lyrics on the paper they sound that way when being sang aloud. She has no inspiration for ARTPOP, it's clear.
