what separates the two, in my opinion, are the lyrics and delivery of those lyrics. there's a handful of artists that could have sang WB; not so many that could have done applause and not many that would have even attempted to
both songs are good imo, but neither of them are groundbreaking
This isn't Applause.
I'm not even a huge fan of the song, but there's no denying it's remarkably different from everything out right now. That's part of why it felt so disjointed on first listen. You gurls can hate Britney all you want, but don't demean yourself to do it. I'm getting second-hand embarrassment from half of you
