This is very true! I doubt Britney would release a in your face gay anthem. I honestly think that album 8 is going to be more successful than FF. I know I'm more excited for this era than I was for FF.

Britney's coming for wigs

Me too. I think that this is going to a successful era, not just for Britney, but also in comparison to the other pop girls. I have a hunch, that the second single's going to be bigger than the first though, simply because of Blurred Lines, Roar and Wrecking Ball.

She needs to release a ballad. I ask people in the GP (not random people, people I actually know) what their favourite Britney track is, and they almost ALWAYS say Everytime.

I don't think it's a gay anthem or any kind of anthem at all. To me the song seems to be more of what I posted yesterday (Heidi Montag - Superficial), but with an urban influence.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Britney's going to be the dark horse this year. Except for stans, everyone else has written her off and aren't expecting her to do well (at least here on atrl). Britney seems to have really worked hard on this album, and with britney, whenever she works hard she has great success.
Everyone I know says their favourite Britney song is either Toxic, Baby One More Time, or Everytime

Definitely the dark horse of 2013.

1. I think people forget the impact that Scream & Shout had worldwide. Fair enough in the US Will needed Britney to make a hit, worldwide (especially in the UK) she needed him. People that have never liked Britney before, were driving around in their cars singing 'you are now-now rocking with will.i.am and Britney Bitch'. This means people are definitely going to more open to her new stuff in my opinion.

2. Ooh La La, wasn't successful BUT, the fact that it peaked higher than Criminal on the BBHot100 proves that the more than just fans are still here for her.

3. You can tell she is fully invested in this album. She's working really hard.

4. It's urban. Which means it's more straight male friendly than her usual tracks.

5. She's looking hot. Enough said.

6. She knows she needs hype, otherwise Vegas will flop.

7. Although X Factor wasn't good. It did help get her confidence back AND gave Britney more exposure to the GP than she had been getting.

8. The fact that this album is supposed to be personal is a huge plus for the GP, who still see Britney as a 'bald crazy bitch'. If she has song's like Piece Of Me, or even more personal like Everytime, they're going to be sucking it up, because they'll want to hear what she has to say. Especially if she's the one writing it.

9. Social Media is really important in promotion and Britney seems to be being more personal, and more herself on Twitter.

I also feel that because the album is going to be more personal it's also going to open her up to a larger audience as well. And Britney has FINALLY been hyping up this era! She's been very vocal about the album this time around social media which is great because social media is an excellent free promo tool
