That already beats Perry's previous best UK sales tally of 123,607 achieved by California Gurls featuring Snoop Dogg in June 2010 with the total set to go much higher as Friday and Saturday trading still needs to be factored in.

so she's not gonna beat Avicii for the fastest selling single of '13 in the UK but she'll be #1 for sure
a 2nd week is also not out of the question

The peaks look so random because of the reweighting. Aaron, do you know the actual peak if we adjust them according to the reweighting?

Katy's having her Blurred Lines. Watch Roar ending up having 220M airplay.
Btw, how much views did Roar have after the first day? Can't believe it's about to pass 14M already. Just wow!

The weights have changed so much in the past few years, it would be hard to ballpark what some of realistic Mediabase peaks would be
The Nielsen peaks, however, can be found. I'll look them up and post in a bit.

She is really doing well on Rhythmic. I think her last top twenty hit there was LFN. TOTGA, PoM, and WA all failed to reach it, I think.

If Mirrors, Maroon 5 etc reached the 200M Al, I think, E.T., LFN, Firework etc would have done it easily too.
Because, I mean, how E.T. would have won "only" 40M when everything got inflated as hell (I mean, it was so hard to get a 150M hit, now you have "easily" 200M)?
