the Black Guy in the Nelson Mandela film
and the Black Guy in 12 Years a Slave.
Hollywood is so racist, unless it's Will Smith or Denzel Washington then big roles for black actors are very limited. Every protagonist in most films is just white by default and if he's black (let's not even start on black women) then it has to be for some reason, it can't just be a character whose race is irrelevant to the plot.

I agree about The Butler, Fruitvale and 12 Years a Slave being about the struggle of a black person, but a biopic about Nelson Mandela is so much more than that.
Actually, all 4 movies are portraying black people in fair ways and not relegating them to the background. Also giving once in a lifetime opportunities for great actors. Ejiofor and Elba are probably the best actors of ther generation. These movies happening is a good thing, great actually, especially if they find an audience.

To be fair, The Last King of Scotland didn't really fit that mold. It won Whitaker an Oscar.
