Sorry bit this makes no sense & would be horrible excuse which would only make her look worse. If she is a real artist, she should not care about if the song is flopping and let the chart performance affect the performance.
If anything, she should have tried harder so the song picks up, not to completely give up.

The only acceptable excuses would be a) she was sick b) she wasn't paid well/was forced to perform c) some personal/family issues.

& RNR was to be the 2nd single since the beginning.

Who said I'm a hater friend? I like Avril. At one time, she was my favorite artist and listened to her all the time. She slipped when she decided to go all cheerleader pop with TBDT. After that, GL could've been great but RCA ruined the album by making her record radio friendly crap that failed anyway. HTNGU was the beginning of getting me back as a fan but she dropped the ball again with RNR. Talking quality, not success. RNR is only ok and that performance kind of sealed the deal...

Again, I think she was forced to release RNR, at least in its current form. She probably wanted the female feature but when that fell through she probably stopped caring. RNR was just recorded I thought? I'm assuming she went back to the studio after HTNGU did less than amazing. That would also explain the album delay.

Either way, it doesn't matter why she did it. The performance was unacceptable honestly.

I said somewhere else that she was on the very same boat CHRISTINA AGUILERA is with her music and recent releases.

HOWEVER, I think Christina has more chances than Avril at this point, cause you see Christina is taking her time but raising her profile. AVRIL though, she looks like a spoiled kid who is mad and decided to not even try anymore. You need to fight back, woman

Well... Avril jumped from RCA to EPIC so she could do the songs in her way, right? So there's no sense in this thing of "they forced her" to release RnR. The song isnt even THAT radio friendly, there isnt this kind of song on pop radios nowadays. I cant remember the last song I listened with a guitar solo. If she had released a very pop song, dance, etc... we could think about "being forced". But RnR is classic Avril.

they should take the money theyre wasting on her and give more to a real performer...on the same label
