Miley Cyrus & Robin Thicke (i love Thicke but this direction he's heading is a mess!)

Even with all the big stars and the fact that it took place in NYC (usually the only time when the VMAs are entertaining), this show left me completely underwhelmed. The fact that the highlight of the night was Miley Cyrus making an utter fool out of herself speaks to how over the hill the VMAs are now.

With the let down in pop music recently, it's just going to be that much easier for Adele.
