I highly doubt it's going to be that rushed. Roar's music video hasn't even been released. Katy's team has always been great about spacing out her singles perfectly.
This is what confuses me. Last era was handled INCREDIBLY with the spacing out of singles. Still though, maybe they're changing things up a bit to see what happens?
it will most likely be a countdown single, just like Teenage Dream had them. They'll probably give us 2 or 3 album tracks to choose from (which aren't single contenders). Remember, TD had a countdown, so this is just a different strategy off that formula.
There's no point in trying to ask Bill about the AdWeek rumour, is there? He's not going to confirm or deny something the artist might want to keep as a surprise.
I think we should send an email to Capitol and ask them if it's true like we did it with that fake article about Roar.
That was true though - we did get it on the 12th with a "Surprise" radio release a couple days early. Capitol, planning leaks 3 weeks ahead and making official announcements of it.
Where do we spam to get the date changed? The Crazilians are already going IN on Katy and it's not even 100% confirmed. Ugh, I hope it's not true...it's way too soon.

I would spam Capitol and Pepsi.
Like I said before I would be all for this if the date was changed. It is a great sragety just a bad idea when you just put out a single.
It is going to be the song that they throw up with the album pre-order. That's the new thing to do nowadays.
It may end up becoming the second single down the road, yes, but it won't get video treatment or serviced to radio on September 17th.
M Squall, can you explain to me the disparity between between French iTunes positions and the actual SNEP chart? I expected a higher debut. It's the same in Germany, where Roar debuted at #12, despite never dropping below #2 on iTunes.
