The funny thing is while only a very small amount of Latin people would be considered white in the US, many more would consider themselves white because in the Latin world the 'one drop rule' works the opposite as it does in America...unless you have noticeably dark skin any blood relation to Europeans gives you certain access to whiteness

I don't speak for all Latin people of course because I haven't even lived there half my life and belong to a certain sector of society that wouldn't really be representative of most people, being racially and 50% ethnically white, but she's popular from what I know but considered an American pop star, not a real Latin artist

both of my grandparents from my dad's side are white, my grandma even has blue yes. my grandfather from my mom's side was white and also had blue eyes but my grandmother was native american. so i'm castizo
