@Cap10, I can't wait for Oprah vs Meryl! Pitting the #1 black living legend against the #1 white living legend is such a smart ratings strategy. This "rivalry" they're playing up basically guarantees that Meryl will get her record 18th nomination. She'll probably lose to make up for the fact that she Elvised Viola.

Watch! Oprah will do a Meryl interview on her OWN channel during the whole Oscar blitz. It would be so like her! I think Meryl will lose because she won one in recent years and Oprah doesn't have a competitive win yet + she's so beloved, hence her honorary Oscar! And if Mo'Nique, Jennifer Hudson and Octavia Spencer have Oscars, then the black Meryl should win, too!
