 If you look at the all-time BDS list, BL is the ONLY song NOT released during the massively inflated 2003-2007 era! Plus, all of these songs smashed only on 3 or 4 formats at the same time. None was quite big on HOT AC. Some of them barely charted there. BL is smashing on all the formats the rest smashed on, plus on HOT AC! That is why, even WITHOUT massively inflated numbers he broke the record!
