I agree it's stupid because they're punishing fans for something they could not control. But the overall idea is not.
It is a fair opinion if they believe Zimmerman did wrong. In my opinion, with this case or not, you shouldn't be allowed to just shoot someone because you "feel" like it was necessary.
Yes, plenty of states have versions of the "stand your ground" law, but it's in Florida where controversy around the law most lies. It was said of the beginning of this trial that the "syg" tripled homicides in Florida claiming self-defense, the majority of them having a deceased who obviously cannot defend such claims. That's a
serious problem, that you basically entice people to kill in any situation.
