With Britney's confirmed album this year (and confirmed #1 single) & Beyonce's recent incapability of reaching the position, will Britney finally pass Beyonce's #1 count?

Depends on entirely what they put out. Since urban is set to grow Beyonce is sure to hit top 5. However, since Britney's last few lead singles went #1 I wouldn't be shocked if Britney earns another.

I think so, given that her lead should probably debut at #1, but in the current market nothing is really certain!

While I think Beyonce's team will time it perfectly to get radio deals, streaming and sales so that she has a strong shot at #1 I think top 10 is likely. Beyonce will most likely break Britney's #1 albums a row record, though.

I don't think so. Mariah just released her best song since WBT and it hasn't cracked the top ten 2 months after its release.

Huh? Check On It is NOT a feature. Beyonce is the lead artist on that song

So if you're excluding features, Beyonce still leads by 1 and the idea of Britney getting more than one #1 this year (or even one) is pretty unlikely given her lessening momentum, the Hot 100 changes, and the climate shift of pop radio

Okay, Robin Thicke released an urban song and its doing well, so is Justin, Bruno and a few others. I'm looking at the top albums and I see mostly rap releases. Not to mention artists have mentioned they are going that route. If anything its Mariah, the older an artist's gets the harder it is for a hit single.

Check On It is not a feature... So?

It's a solo effort.

Which makes absolutely no sense since both songs are #1 hits they are credited for and there is no determination that any song they release this era won't have a feature.
