Last year it was Sexyback that changed our culture because everybody say they're bringing Sexyback. Then the year before it was Gold Digger because everybody was saying this phrase: "Now I Ain't Saying She A Gold Digger" especially on TV shows. Then other years people were saying "Yeah Yeah" or Heeeey Ya." Then again about 10+ years ago from now there was that dance called the Macarena so the person that said Crank That is like Macarena is absolutely right because it's sweeping the nation.

VERY INTERESTING, THANK YOU!

.....a bit of history like this about american pop-culture that is not even remotely known over here in europe is very interesting!....iīve understood the whole crank that thing was very big, but not like this phenomenon...songs with catchphrases seem to be especially sucessful in US....i thought of Eminemīs "stan" that was pretty much a flop in US, but HUUUUGE everywhere else (it totally dominated the swedish airwaves i remember)....strange ainīt it?
i remember macarena, the ketchupsong, mambo #5 and shivers lol
