Hm, we'll have to make sure to check Robin's metacritic score when his full length album is released. As we know, JT's album has consistency, while Robin's will be riddled with Dr. Luke tracks thrown in purely for the hit factor.
Robin's album snippets have been released and there's only one Luke track (which has been released). The rest are the same genre he's always been.
There was no laugh for Robin to have. 6 albums and finally a commercially successful single to run with.... Justin been doing this for years.
And Kanye? No. Him & Jay have the same limited promo schedule and technically Jay's hasnt even performed yet is going to sell more than DOUBLE what Kanye did.
We already know that Robin's album won't sell 900k in the first week, so saying that is kind of irrelevant at this point
The point is that NO ONE expected for him to ever have a hit as big as " Blurred Lines," let alone a hit outside of Urban AC radio For Robin Thicke's own career, he has "won" because he beat the odds. Hits like "Blurred Lines" don't come often not just for R&B artists, but for ANY artist... Robin gets an honorary mention for being the dark horse
I wouldn't be too sure. You already said Robin is a dark horse. He could very well pull in
huge numbers the first week... WITHOUT the promo blitz Justin Timberlake had
to do to make the public interested in his lackluster music this era.
Honestly Macklemore is probably cackling at all of them, whilst his singles are DOMINATING the charts and his album is seeing consistent sales and will go platinum within the next few months

He's can get those sales. Call me when he gets the acclaim and recognition.
