Oh, and I have the last two albums of Avril (not the first one... because her girly voice at that time gets on my nerves... I have to say this. Not bashing! my opinion! my reason for not buying it). ok? I bought the last two albums from Avril!! I means, I like her!! (even though she surprises everyday with photo sessions and attitudes and videos...)

Ok, there's again... insulting! You do that a lot, you know... to me and other people.
It's sad. You don't have respect for others posters.
I will not discuss with you anything, since you do not know how to discuss.

Actually, Europe should count more than in the U.S!

You could say that, but by the same token, here in the United States, there are sooo many more acts competing than in other countries, so it would be harder to become big here.

In a sense they do, but they just can't logically. With the United States albums selling far more than anything in Europe or even Japan for that matter, it wouldn't be a fair comparison. A VERY successful in Japan is selling 900,000+, while in America, that would still be very good, but wut would be considered VERY successful here would be near 3,000,000. How many albums sell this much in Europe? There are at least 5-10 active albums right now on Billboard Hot 100 with this #.

Well... you're talking about albums... that's different... and you're right... Well, albums are sold copie by copie...so... that's the absolute numbers that count!
But, when we are talking about singles... with more that one criteria to do the charts (more than just the number of sales)... I think it should be evaluated again...

pick your fave Nelly there...plus...we got more info about demo...
heres a thiny part :
A big congrats to Nelly Furtado, who recently got engaged to sound engineer Demo Castellon. Demo's been called "the universe's most anonymous man" by at least one blogger, but I got the full scoop when I met him at our shoot with Nelly back in May.
—He lives in Miami.
—He was reading The Art of War, which, he told me, is the book to read if you're in the music industry right now. (It's about ancient military strategy.) Hmmm.
—He works (and sometimes tours) with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Missy Elliott.
—He mixed "Give It To Me," featuring Nelly, Justin and Tim. (It's a great song.
Besides that, all I can tell you is that he makes Nelly laugh like crazy. In fact, our photographer, Anne Menke asked him to stand behind the camera while she took pictures, because Nelly lit up when he was around. Best of luck to them both! —E.B.

Yes!!! My favourite photo is at the lead right now!! It's the second - Nelly playing guitar! I LOVE THAT PHOTO! Actually, I think it's her best photo I've ever seen from her... really! It just has something... I don't know... It's pure and simple...

Even singles-wise, there are more bought and downloaded in America than elsewhere. The only exception would be Utada Hikaru's "Flavor Of Life" which has roughly 8 million downloads this year in Japan, but that's the exception.

Airplay is part of singles, which is based on audience reach, which is the highest in the US as well. It's a population issue.
