Album track from "Animal"
This is possibly one of the best Pop songs from Animal. You can hear the impact ring through to Katy's E.T. Upon choosing single #4, it was between this and Take It Off - though it ended up being TIO (probably the better choice), this track was definitely snubbed. It hasn't aged well, admittedly, but this track is one of the most instant songs from Animal, and it's SO Ke$ha. Billboard even listed it as "Top 5 Tracks Most Likely to Be Hits in 2011". All of this, and it lies buried and forgotten.
Perez might try and drag Ke$ha for the bitchiness in this track after she strives for equality, but I feel what people are missing is that Ke$ha is simply calling out a douchebag. That's what makes this song an anthem. And what kind of iconic bridge? I don't see ANY other faves doing it (besides Katy when she copied it for E.T. - yes, I'm pressed). |
