Justin Timberlake's 'Mirrors' Tops RT40; FOB Sets Chart Record
Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" rises 2-1 on RT40, becoming the singer's first solo number one. Timberlake reached the peak for the first time last March 2009 (RT40 was Final 20 that time) as a featured artist on T.I.'s Dead and Gone - which was also hailed as that year's number one song. "Mirrors" is also the first number-one single off the album The 20/20 Experience. The first single "Suit & Tie" peaked at No. 3 last April 13 and drops 7-8 this week.
The single crowns the RT40 by dethroning P!nk's "Just Give Me A Reason," featuring fun.'s Nate Ruess. "Reasons" logged a three non-consecutive week-reign. Rihanna's "Stay," featuring Mikky Ekko, moves 6-3 eclipsing One Direction's "One Way Or Another" which dips 3-4 after leading the list four weeks ago.
Fall Out Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up)" holds at No. 5 for the third consecutive week. F.O.B. becomes the first artist to land three entries in the top ten on a single week. The band's follow-up tracks from Save Rock & Roll, "Young Volcanoes" and "The Phoenix," rise 13-9 and 12-10, respectively.
Taylor Swift's 22 peaks at No. 7, completing this week's top ten.
There are four new entries this week. Stay tuned and find out in a bit.
