TERRIBLE album! I was expecting some soul/r&B/pop record like her debut album but this couldve been a Demi/Britney album and I am not here for that kind of music... I want Future Love type of songs!

Flashbacks is great as well and I think she did a fantastic job with the album. It is more for people who like dance/pop songs and good vocals, its not any kind of moody/sultry soul kind of record like a Dawn Richard album. I wouldn't have said her first album had that much r&b/soul and pop listeners could easily put it on. Young and Restless It's not that far removed in sound from Exposed.

I agree with this, I was looking for another "Speak Up" or "Disconnect" but I didn't get that.

My issue with the pop songs is that a lot of the upbeat dancey songs sounds really cheaply produced and the hooks can seem lazy. I don't mind Disney-level pop songs, but most of these were not infectious enough to stick with me, which seems like what they were trying to do with this. I am obsessed with "Ten Billion Years" though.

Right Speak Up was brilliant but Future Love remains a classic in my book, it was my summer song that summer!

TBY is really good. but i hear a lot of the same instruments on this album (especially the acoustic guitar)

A song of hers leaked a few days ago called Story Teller. I'm not sure if it was recorded for her 2nd album but its out there if anyone's interested.

As for her second album, I like it and I think it's a good effort for what she had to work with,

I am one of the few that like the album , but then I like generic dance-pop songs. Only a few songs ever truly break new ground anyways. List what was so non-generic about Exposed? It is a good/soul/pop dance record and that is all. We can always find other artists with the same styles, beats, vocals, and rhythms. Who is a true artist nowadays?

Exposed had its share of dance songs and slowies the same as Young & Restless and used samples from other songs. Young and Restless had a dubstep beat and is being labelled as following old trends. Many people love dubstep as a style of music on its own. Anyway there will only ever be a handful of records that are out of the box and truly original and they may sound terrible, great or complete rubbish to the listener.
