because i like her. just b/c i say she loses sales doesn't mean anything. Britney lost half of her between Oops! and Britney era, Alicia lost a chunk in between her debut / sophomore, so have thousands of other big artists. it's all about the era changing, but then again i do hate Xtina for making us wait so long between albums.

Xtina + Britney are pratically the same. both have success on the charts SOMETIMES, U.S. I mean cuz we know Brit dominates internationally. anyways the only difference is Xtina can sing, Britney cannot, Xtina can't dance/entertain, Britney can (excluding 2nite, lol), Xtina won't be remembered after she leaves, Britney will.
add the fact that, looking at the '03 VMA performance again, Madge kissed Brit and Xtina, but let's not forget which kiss was more entertaining (even lasted longer), and was talked about more.

So, she had a chance to come back, she had a great song that seemed to have radio support....but now, nobody will want to play it, it will drop hard, even tomorrow will see the consequences of that disaster of performance in mediabase´s numbers....
Her chances now are 5%, but if she really wanna save this (mission impossible), she gotta do something quickly, something BIG, like the video premiere.....I can´t think of anything else right now....
