The bible was written during a time nobody knew what was going on at all.
Back then they used violence to keep every shut who said something against it since the church was the head of a state.
Then like a century ago most people didn't have the possibility to access information so they were bound to believe what their parents told them.
But the reason why atheist is coming strong is because,with the Internet, we have unlimited informations that tell us that the world wasn't "made" in 7 days etc

And religion isn't the sole reason some people are anti-gay, but it is the root of it. Mainly because religion has been used as a some sort of moral code for what seems like forever.

The Bible is like Religion, it was created by men. But at least there is no place where they pretend they quote him directly saying such things. There is also a place in the Corr when they say women have no say in important matters, should always wear the veil and not speak against a man. I'm a woman but I didn't stop believing in God just because of that.

But this is a dead end anyway, I doubt we will agree on the subject. I think you either believe or you don't. I just want people to understand there is no whole package, believing in God doesn't mean believing in a religion or believing in everything written in the Bible or believing in the Pope.

That's because the Bible is the story of man's spiritual journey to understand his creator. When you view it from this perspective a lot starts to make sense. It takes many years to deeply understand.
