People weren't booing! They just reacted with "Oh!"and laughing. Joan has always been a person who makes fun of you no matter what size or color you are. I don't get bothered by her. Not even when she comes for Beyoncé or Gaga. I find her funny.
It's mean, but what is the difference between making a joke about someone's age (which she did 10 seconds earlier) and making a joke about someone's weight? Hypocritical for anyone to laugh at an age joke and then be shocked and offended by a fat joke.
she makes fun of everybody, its not personal. With Joan its all about getting a laugh and nobodies out of bounds. She even mocks her own daughter.
this wasn't her best moment but generally she is hilarious. Thankgod for her as theres too much PC behaviour around and she still doesnt give a f**k. People should know by now its just material to her and not personal hate.
Not even mad at Joan- it's a puerile joke but she's been doing that sort of thing for years, and with the audience's reaction it's clear that no one thought it was funny (which is actually nice!).
I always thought the sense of humour from jewish people is a little more subtle, but oh well... maybe the slaughter of many palestinian freedom fighters and inocent people on both sides tainted the humour of the Jews.
Was there any point in her career where she was funny? She seems to use the most predictable, overused, 4-years-too-late jokes everytime I see her act and it's painful hearing the audience struggle to laugh.
