Why are some people talking so much about "media presence"? Do you REALLY think it's the most important? I don't think so, mostly when some medias don't have anything interesting to say about the artist outside his private life and endless gossip.

Because Pink is the one with the most heart. She puts everything she has into what she does. She doesn't rest on her laurels of what she's done in the past. She gives 150% of herself when performing. She doesn't rely on beauty or a "name" to carry her. The only reason her songs seem to sound the same is because she's used a couple of producers for consecutive albums....hello, many, many artists do the same. She is true to herself and doesn't write songs about subjects because they are the flavor of the month. She writes about HER personal experiences and is quite consistent in her approach. Does that make her boring to some? It may, but, her personality and writing have been very consistent throughout her career. She seems to be quite approachable and likable under that rough exterior. Say what you will, but, she is one of the only true, down to earth, real artists in the mainstream. She doesn't take herself or fame too seriously and she isn't putting herself out there for the sake of getting attention. She strives to be the best she can be, but, also thinks there is enough room out there for everyone in the game. Strange how people want to badmouth such a grounded artist. She's not a diva nor a self promoter. She has made her share of mistakes in her career, but, the difference is, she's rebounded with a maturity that still keeps true to her personality. Some out there should take notice and follow in her footsteps.

And she came back strong with three albums after that, I don't understand why people here always think that media coverage is more important, some pop stars are just over-hyped and people can't escape their presence whether they like it or not.

Anyway she's selling very good for someone who's just an afterthought. And I'd rather see my faves getting attention for their singing and great live performances than topping the news every day for no good reason.

Well for one pink is extremely consistent with her sound and performances, you will always know she will deliver the goods every time. Plus she has made better decisions in her career (ex. christina) or had a huge meltdown like britney. I also think she benefits from not putting herself out there and being too exposed.

What kind of ignorance?

TALENT. Love her!

Slow and steady wins the race. Instead of starting out big (and having no place to go but down), she started off smaller and gradually worked her way up. She had room to grow and improve. It's never good to start off huge because you can't go up any higher.

Pink is amazing. She deserves all the success she is getting. What really hurt Britney was the media - a huge margain of the general public thinks she's crazy, yet she is still carrying out #1s effortlessly.

It's baffling because P!nk doesn't have 10,000 endorsements, isn't put on magazine covers, rarely makes headlines on the tabloids and yet she can sell out tours like Madonna. She is also one of the most respected artistes --by her peers + just Youtube her performances and I'd say 90% of the comments are positive. Not so much for the other female artistes, who often get dragged by filth.

And she outlasted all her contemporaries, not just Brit/Xtina.
