A Baktun is known as 20 Katun cycles of the Mayan Long Count calendar, and each Baktun contains 144,000 days. The 13th ended a few hours ago on Dec 21st Greenwich Time, and we're officially on the 14th.
Basically, the LONG cycle of the calendar just ended (in other words, the wheel made a full spin), and a new one begins, and the wheel will spin once again until the next Baktun.
The 14th Baktun is expected to end March 26, 2407
The world ain't gonna end, it's the beginning of the new era for the Mayans, and it coincides with the Winter Solstice of 2012, so there's probably gonna be a big energy (that might cause a big of a surge here in there) but no apocalyptic events.
I'll use the basic example of a clock. The clock strikes 12', it does a full cycle and it starts again at 12. In the calendar, a cycle begins at 0, 144,000 days pass, and it strikes again at 0, and a new cycle begins. That's according to Mayan journalists and historians (who YES I trust more than NASA)
The Mayans never really said that Dec 21 was the end of the world, that's something that New Age people started saying, for being...you know...misinformed
Amess. Y'all gon make a new end of the world every year.

The sky and the earth won't last forever, but my words will. No one knows the day or hour. The angels in heaven don't know, and the Son himself doesn't know. Only the Father knows.
