And anyways, nothing will happen. It is just a significant astronomical event because the winter solstice coincides with whatever alignment/end of Earth's wobble cycle. Those are the only facts. Based on this, Mayans had predictions of enlightenment that would reach us, but predictions were not their specialty, their specialty was studying the skies. They had their leaders (king/queen or whatever) sacrifice their blood (woman from tongue and man from the penis) because they thought the world would end if they didn't.
