I seriously don't understand, Girl on Fire is more of a hit then Doesn't Mean Anything and even Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart (in terms of chart position anyway) yet TEOF opened with more then 400K. And she's releasing at pretty much the best time, around the holidays. I thought she would open with more then 200K. I'm confused.
She had "Empire State of Mind" and steam left from the 'As I Am' era.
I am very VERY surprised Her first week sales are always huge. These are even lower than The Element of Freedom and Girl On Fire was bigger than any of TEOF's singles.
Surprised but they aren't that bad compared to this year. Keyshia Cole just did 96K this week (factoring in Black Friday Sales) and that was the highest first week for a R&B Female Artist this year.
damnn R&B is dead. The only kinds of R&B songs that will come close to making a dent in pop will be something like We belong together other than that.....
