Taylor is not even my main fave so try again

It's not hard to see talent when you see it (or heard it). A good voice is a good voice, it's as simple as that.

For me i mainly see talent in: singing, songwriting and dancing. Some of the pop girls don't have any of that. Some have one and not the others, some have the three talents. I know all of my faves have at least one of them.

I just don't see how people can stan for anyone who doesn't have at least one of those talents, that's it. Sorry for expressing my honest opinion

Because you don't know or haven't researched their faves. Or their faves don't show it to the general public and keep it hidden.

And talent come different forms. A technically a good vocalist doesn't always know how a song should be performed or sings what you want to hear.

Nervous Katy on national TV isn't how she sounds in concert or radio studio.

If you compare her with Gaga covering White Christmas, she sings it according to why it was a big hit in the war (Really warm, soothing,... like the only relief you could ask in battle of Bastogne. She sang it slower than the original.) and GaGa was just joking around.

She sings hidden gems like she knows me. Her story inspired me that a crappy underpaid cubicle job wasn't as bad as what she did, to keep moving ahead and grabbed a good job.

They performed on the same V fest 2009 festival grounds, she rocked IKAG hard while Gaga use pretentious intro and hides behind stage props.

I like people who can do more with less or tiny budget and disliked the guys who bought success at school. Ur So Gay video has a school project budget and Katy's facial expressions make it work. Gaga made beginner's mistakes in TEOG video.

Katy's understanding and usage of the medium of video is amazing. The emotions her Concert Candies evoked. Sharing her personality with video blogging. She gives complete storylines to her directors, I would like a customer with such clear demands.

I fail to see how it's talent honestly. Exposition and marketing are the reasons why a song is a smash, the artist has nothing to do with it.

As i say on another topic, i can't sing at all (i know i don't have any talent for it) but i KNOW that if i sang some REALLY catchy song written by a A-List producer and that song end up getting big exposure because of the label's marketing, i won't have anything to do with it and that won't make me talented in anything, just lucky

And nobody can say for sure that if someone else sang that song it wouldn't have smashed, it's just speculation. With another singer it could have smashed even harder, we don't know
