They are horribly annoying (I cringed when they said they weren't a generic group like all the others in the competition were,) but they're the guys teenage girls drool over. The teenage girls rule the iTunes. Simon's aware of that, so he wants them to win.
I agree on everything you said about Emblem3... Especially when it comes to me LOL'ing at them saying they're not another generic boyband, I mean, every time they pop up on my screen all I can think is "BOYBAND MUCH?".
