Girlfriend is on the rise again--probably won't go back to #1 because Makes Me Wonder is still going strong, but it will probably keep the #2 spot warm for quite some time. I totally thought this song would flop when I first heard it and it actually became one of this year's biggest hits.

Are you talking about "Because of You"? I don't think it has a chance of getting to #1 now that the song is available in two versions on iTunes. The regular and the radio edit are not all that different from each other. The single might have made it to #1 if they released it on iTunes at the same time they did on radio, but airplay for the song is starting to die.

^I think it could pull an Akon - Don't Matter next week that is on the Billboard charts and be #1 but it looks like it won't be #1 in i-tunes though
