Simon's always been pretty bipolar when it comes to Britney but for the most part he's always liked her. After the Gimme More VMA performance I remember he said that it could've killed her career and that if we was looking after he wouldn't have let her onstage but even then that's pretty mild compared to what other people said about her at the time and in some ways actually pretty constructive so I don't really hold that against him.
He said that she had the X Factor in 2005 and then after she made her comeback in 2008 went back to praising her again.

Britney herself admitted she should have gone to Louisianna with her kids after she divorced Kevin and her life turned crazier than ever.
