biggest radio hit lmao.
It obviously won't sell nearly as much and is less known, but she also doesn't have the same fame and don't forget the controversy lol

beautiful update!!
The #1 seems so likely now, it's just so amazing.
Second single being sent to radio (first one that's actually radio friendly) and already so much support.

No problem for the Missouri native. The proof: hits like High School Musical and Hannah Montana. Taylor spoke to Forbes.com about the scouting process, talent grooming and how she plans to find the next Miley Cyrus.

Once you've identified talent, what comes next?
I always know when I look at an audition tape and then have to look at it again that somebody is telling me something. I just want to keep reliving it. Demi [Lovato] is a perfect example. We discovered her in a search that we did. We do an annual talent search and we pick different cities depending on what our needs are regionally.
In the fall of 2006, I believe, she showed up on a Dallas tape that our casting directors had made. We probably identified half a dozen kids on that search to watch out for or have on the radar, and she was one of them. Then, when we started assembling As the Bell Rings, and it turned out we were going to shoot it in Texas, we figured it would be a great incubator. It's a short interstitial piece, which made it a great place to maybe launch somebody or give them some real technical experience and see how they deliver.
I'm assuming she delivered well?
She was great in the interstitial series! So we thought we'd keep her in mind for pilot season. Then we started reading her for pilots, and you just see them growing and growing--just like with anything, the more you audition, the better you get and the more comfortable you become in that environment. So while she was in town, we thought to ourselves: What else can we read her for?
But rather than cast her in a single project and let her grow, you have her in several. This seems to be the Disney Channel strategy, no?
Well, it's for them too. When we have talent in our family, we're pretty nurturing and we give them all of these opportunities. And when you're reading scripts, rather than starting from scratch and casting it, you find yourself saying: "We know our audience is going to love seeing these kids."
Look at Mitchel Musso. They love him in Hannah Montana, so how much fun would it be to see him in something different? When you read a script like Hatching Pete, you find yourself saying, "Oh my gosh, we have a buddy comedy. Let's put two of our guys, [ Corey in the House's] Jason Dolley and Mitchel Musso, in there." It just becomes the way you start thinking. And then you can support them with new people.
