Every release by Lady Gaga is gonna be overhyped tbh.

I don't understand what people want for hype regarding a gaga album. It's LADY GAGA. Everyones gonna make the hugest ****ing deal about it months before its release- shes at the top of her game, everyones watching her, we wanna know what she does next, there's no avoiding it. There's no way to underhype it or give it a normal amount of hype.

It would be impossible to hype this project as much as BTW was. So I am going to say no by default. Most people probably don't even know she is recording music outside of her fanbase and people who are checking into pop music. Unless she starts singing songs at award shows and starts calling this project the biggest album of all time (and probably not even then) there is no way the hype for Artpop could measure the hype of BTW.

It's not quite on the same scale, & it has slowed down in the past week due to lack of new info.

Not really, all she's mentioned is the name, and some of the producers. Other than that we don't know anything about the record. I haven't seen her posting lyrics and what not on Twitter, like she was before BTW came out. I haven't heard her say anything outrageous about the album (Album of the Decade ). You might be hyped up for it, but I don't think it's because of Gaga. She's stayed surprisingly low-brow lately. No media appearances announcing anything and no speech at an award show where she sings the chorus to the lead single and announces the record's name.

Some people....This is FAR from BTW's amount of hype. 2013 isn't even that far off.

I guess Gaga is mainly telling us fans so we don't have to wait in the dark you know. The little bits of info and acknowledgement that she's recording etc. makes the wait easier.

Not really. The public knows NOTHING about it. All the fans know about it is the title, and that Gaga has worked on it for some time, and a bit about the production team and general musical direction. And we've heard Princess Die. That'sssssssssssss it. I wouldn't call that overhyping at all.

Album titles usually aren't revealed until just 2-3 months before release.
