Considering the style of the song, I'm actually a little scared to even hope for #1. Top 10 is more realistic. The 2nd single might possibly be bigger, like with ILT & WBT.

I agree. The 4th single would be good, cause that could bring in them album sales. We all know older people buy albums and older people like ballads Mariah, so that's what she needs to give them later on. While now she needs to let the world know she's back and this is a good time cause everyone is talking about her, but I can understand why her label didn't want her to release an urban song tbh. I have no doubt in my mind that it will be good, I'm sure it'll be amazing, but I'm not too sure of it being the longed for 19th #1. I see this being a moderate hit like Obsessed or It's Like That. And if she releases a real pop song for 2nd single then we can talk #1. I really want her to surpass The Beatles and further distance herself from some of todays artists, so I hope she does go the pop route for her 2nd single.

Unbothered about commercial reception. Like, hello, this is Mariah Carey. What do her stans have to worry about? This song sounds amazing. Mostly everything Bryan-Michael Cox touches turns to gold. Plus Meek Mill!!!!! Rick Ross remains a useless irritance though.

Finally someone who appreciates Memoirs. Everyone writes it off and bashes The Dream cos there wasnt hits but its great.

While I liked Memoirs, I would only want a few song from them.

But I actually never read their names in connection to the new album.

Memoirs is a very cohesive and enjoyable album, but barely no track stands out really, except for Obsessed, which doesn't quite fit in to the rest of the tracks anyway. I hope she orientates more to her earlier stuff, especially her magnus opus Daydream.
