Space, you really think Boardwalk Empire will be left out?

I was meaning to open a thread. Ace, I absolutely agree with your Outsanding Drama Series predictions. It's between those seven:

Boardwalk Empire
Breaking Bad
Downton Abbey
Game of Thrones
The Good Wife
Homeland
Mad Men

but I think the Boardwalk Empire fuzz has died and lost momentum and GoT and Homeland have gained a lot, so probably won't make the cut. Out of those six, I think Mad Men could win it, but I have to admit season 5 wasn't as strong as season 4, and Breaking Bad just had its best season so they could take it. I don't watch Downton Abbey but I have only heard good things about it and the fact that they are now competing for Best Drama has me worried they might take it from Breaking Bad. GoT, TGW, Homeland have no chance at winning.

I don't watch too many comedies, but I know buzz when I see it and I think it's between these:

Modern Family
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Parks & Recreation
The Big Bang Theory
30 Rock
Louie
Veep
Girls

I hope Girls gets nominated, I thinks it's genius and I stan for it. However, I won't win, but at least people will know it exists and hopefully have a better chance at a 3rd season. That's all I ask for. I think Modern Family is going to win again although season 3 was weaker than the previous ones, I just don't see any other comedy winning.

About best actor and actress in a Drama Series:

I think Cranston has it in the bag again! No doubt about that. I think Jon Hamm, Hugh Laurie and Steve Buscemi will be nominated yet again, and I think Damien Lewis (Homeland) and Kelsey Grammer (Boss) will be nominated, too.

Best actress is more interesting this year because Claire Danes is going to be serious competition and probably block Julianna Margulies. It's between those two. Glenn Close and Elisabeth Moss have the nod in the bag, and I really, really hope Jessica Paré will be nominated too. I thought she was terrific on Mad Men this season and she totally deserves it. Debra Messing is an Emmy favorite so she could be, but Mariska Hargitay and Kathy Bates are strong contenders, too.

Edit: I totally forgot about Emmy Rossum, she's oustanding on Shameless, she definitely deserves a nomination.

They're announcing today?! Awesome.

Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Laura Dern, Julia-Louis Dreyfuss, Laura Linney and the sixth one I can't quite figure it out. Melissa McCarthy probably since she was last year's winner, but Zooey Deschanel, Edie Falco and Lena Dunham are also there fighting.

Does anyone know the time of the announcements?

I wish the Walking Dead had a chance for some noms I love that show. It kinda sucks that Community is always ignored too.

I'm still here for Breaking Bad, Parks & Rec, TBBT, and Modern Family though.

Wow, a lot of surprise nominations. I wasn't expecting all this Downton Abbey love. Also wasn't expecting Jared Harris to be nominated, and Kathryn Joosten from Desperate Housewives Her death must have been a factor, sadly.

So happy for Lena Dunham and Girls

I am SHOCKED at all the Downton love.

And Mariska was FINALLY snubbed.
