Here's some more information on what's to come next season:
we also got a closer look at Commander Bumi and Kya (Aang and Katara's eldest daughter), both of whom roused another round of cheers from the audience. Expect to see a lot more of them next year as well.

Korra's family will have a more prominent role this season, including her father, mother, uncle and cousins. I'm speculating here, but this will probably tie in to the Southern Water Tribe visit.

Mako is now a Repuclic City policeman, Asami has taken over her father's Future Industries and Bolin is struggling to find himself (assembling what looks like a new pro-bending team).

As predicted, Korra will now be exploring her newfound abilities as a fully realized Avatar. In her character animatic, we got to see Korra racing Tenzin's kids on air scooters around Air Temple Island, switching into the Avatar State for an extra boost to beat them; this implies that Korra can, in fact, enter the Avatar State at will by the start of Season 2

So, 4 seasons is official, that cryptic EW article wasn't lying.

And Nickelodeon announced it as a miniseries with only 12 episodes.

The ACTUAL confirmation by Nick/Bryan and Mike about the FOUR seasons renewal still hasn't happened yet. I'm not trying to be a downer because I will die if that's true. I just think it'd be better to get a full on confirmation from Nick or the creators themselves, that way we won't have gotten our hopes up for nothing. EW, Korra's Facebook page, Wiki etc are in no way affiliated with Nick or the shows creators. It's best to way for REAL confirmation. Then we can rejoice

I just hope that book 2, 3 and 4 where tied together and somehow tied into season 1 as well, that would make it better

Nick better not **** this up. This can become such a huge franchise. They need to get on that marketing and merchandise asap.
