Exactly. Michael is way more popular in every corner of this world. Nobody talks about the Beatles anymore. The Beatles were huge in the 60s. They lasted for 10 years. I don't understand how you can be "the most influential music act" in music history like these people claim with such short career. It doesn't make any sense.

Michael was more successful in his lifespan then the Beatles were. alot of their records came after their split/deaths

Is that why The Beatles have the best selling album of the 21st century? Just last year, they reached the top 10 or 5 of quite a few countries for a greatest hits album that was released in the year 2000.

The Beatles have a greater legacy. They are the most revered and influential pop music act. Ever. Say what you want about your preferences, but nobody comes close to them in terms of legacy, impact and whatever. Yes, Michael came closest, but he's still fairly far away.

I think you're taking what they said wrongly

MJ was always talked about and it was just that ppl talked about him badly in his later years prior to his death but after they started being nice about him

It has to do with EVERYTHING. You won't be influential with a career which lasted for only 10 years. This generation has nothing to do with the Beatles. They were huge in the previous century. Michael Jackson's death in 2009 was breaking news in every country. It was the "event" of the year.

And Grammy Awards seem to agree with me.

The most #1s in Germany, Austrailia, Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, and Norway
Most #1 albums in the British album charts
And the most weeks at #1 in the British charts.

What a weak response to those records. He can keep those Grammys.
