I just found this on Tumblr:
Quote:
be prepared for HARRY or NIALL to be dating a celebrity THROUGH A SIGNED CONTRACT from septeber to december
Not sure how true this is.
|
Interesting... Demi is supposedly dating a Celebrity through a signed contract too, right?

But what does that mean to you guys if Get Back, La La Land, Don't Forget & HWGA basically got the same treatment except for a few live performances?
The video sure as hell was released in the US and most people knew about it.
A single that wasn't released in the US would be something like Britney's Born To Make You Happy, that was ACTUALLY only released overseas.

I don't get where you're trying to go with this... Remember December wasn't released in the US. What was the difference between Born to make you happy and Remember December in the US?
"most people knew about it" how? By Demi tweeting about it? Because that's only way they could have found out and what people are you talking about?

For a big part I agree with you (although I don't see the point you're trying to make), but that most people knew about it is just not true...

The difference between the Born To Make You Happy and Remember December videos is that, BTMYH was an international only single. The video did not air in the US and was not released to online video channels such as Launch.com and more back in the day. I have no idea if BTMYH is on there now.
Remember December definitely aired in the US and was released to online video channels such as Yahoo's Launch.com, AOL Music, VH1 & MTV.

What do you mean what point am I trying to make?
Demi stans keep saying that she only released one single from HWGA, when TWO (HWGA & RD) were released.
Remember December was released right around the holidays with the intention to increase sales in the US.
I'm trying to understand the logic of those, specifically amandawendy, who say it wasn't released in the US.

Well I only heared from others that only HWGA was released in the US and that RD was released in Europe but not in the US.
So, I can't really talk about it cause I only know about this from hearsay
All I know is that saying the music video was released in the US makes no sense as nowadays if a music video is released, it is released worldwide because of the internet.
A music video isn't the same as a single. The music video was released, and therefore, worldwide. I HEARD that the single wasn't.
Or did you mean that RD was actually on US television? Cause I'm pretty sure it wasn't...
Just trying to understand what you mean as it's kinda confusing

Get Back got only two performances, Ellen and Disney games I think.
La La Land DWTS.
Don't Forget Ellen.
GB was the lead single, LLL second single and also to promote SWAC and Don't Forget... it didn't even have a cover, it was just a promo single for the deluxe edition.
HWGA was the lead single and it got several performances but that's it.
RD remains the only single that didn't get any performance in the US, it wasn't even sent to radio disney and it wasn't even released on Amazon.
RD wasn't released anywhere according to Universal Music, it just had a little flop promo in the UK and that's it.
Those are her only WW singles and sadly, she only performed LLL in the UK. (Outside the US)
Remember December was released in the UK only http://fascinationrecords.com/index.php?id=358

right now, amanda is not the only one who thinks that, and i agree with you somehow but maybe people are saying that because they don't remember seeing the video in U.S

It was. It aired on Disney Channel, I would know, that's how I stanned for the video. I don't know about other music channels.
And yes it makes sense because online channels such as Launch.com & AOL Music used to cater to the location that user was in. So a video like Born To Make You Happy wasn't available in the US or Canada, for example, but you could see it if you were in another country on THEIR version of Launch.com.

Does it even matter? Single or not, none of them were sent for radio adds. They're pretty much all on the same playing field.
Why are we arguing about something so trivial and insignificant when we should be looking forward?
