My Top Albums Of The Year
Here are some more of my favorite albums and numbers 5 & 4.
Ciara - The Evolution
So, only released 3 weeks ago, I've been bumping "The Evolution" for about 5, and it's definitely one of the best R&B albums this year that I've heard. For a person with limited vocal ability, CiCi was very creative in the way she "evolved" on this album. Oddly, this includes the album being mostly mid-temp and ballads, that aren't bad at all, matter of fact, most of them are good. I can't wait to hear more singles off the album, and I'm pretty sure this album shows that she'll be around for at least another two albums, and technically, the Janet Jackson of our generation. I.e., can't really sing all that well, but can dance, and people love her, haha.
-Favorite Tracks-
-My Love
-Promise
-C.R.U.S.H.
-So Hard
-Can't Leave 'Em
JoJo - The High Road
This is obviously the most talented 16 year old ever. Even more so than Beyonce at her age. I'm really interested in what she plans on doing in a few years. ow, I do wish she'd get away from that one moment in every song where the beat get's low, it's just background music, and then the beat comes back and she screams for a hot second? Anybody else? Sort of formulaic. But at the same time, I can't wait to scream along with her, haha. I have to say, I can't really relate to most of the songs, they're more songs of pure enjoyment, from vocals, beats, and arrangements.
-Favorite Tracks-
-Let It Rain
-Coming For You
-The Way You Do Me
-Too Little, Too Late
-Anything
T.I. - King
So, at first I couldn't decide if I was just totally infatuated with T.I. (which I was this year) or this was actually a good album. But then, I had to think about what rap albums I've EVER listened to. Only Jay-Z & Outkast. So, for me to listen to it had to make it somewhat good. Upon further inspection, I remembered how much I loved all the singles, the interludes, and a couple other tracks. The infatuation just helped.
-Favorite Tracks-
-What You Know
-Why You Wanna
-Front Back
-Hello
-Goodlife
Cherish - Unappreciated
The girls made great single choices, because this album is really for a fan of urban, R&B groups. I can't think of many other people who might ever refer to themselves as being Chevy's (yes, the automobile brand), and wanting to be treated like one. The album was nice for a debut, they show nice vocal and harmonizing abilities, and hopefully it's a glimpse of the future? I mean, who else is proposing themselves as the next big girl group?
-Favorite Tracks-
-Oooh
-Moment In Time
-Do It, To It
-Chevy
-Unappreciated
The Top 10 of 2006
5. Rihanna – "Unfaithful"
So, this was my favorite song from "A Girl Like Me". You KNOW at least ONCE, that you were in the car screaming "I don't wanna do this anymoooore, I don't wanna be the reason why.", and my favoritest, most likedest, most melodramatic line ever, "I don't wanna be....a murderer." Anyways, I really liked the vocal arrangement, and the almost operatic beat. Good do Rihanna.

4. Ciara – "Promise"
Yeah, it only came out a couple months ago, but it doesn't matter. "The Evolution" is hot, and this is my favorite video to re-enact, lol. The repetitive high pitched notes, and the nice, slow, lets-go-have-sex beat, are what made what I thought wasn't possible for Ciara, possible. A slow, sexy, nice, ballad.

My Top Albums Of The Year
The last of my favorite 11 albums of the year
Ne-Yo - In My Own Words
So, there are only 2 albums that I could really name as #1 or #2, and this is one of them. Ne-Yo brought back the Male R&b singer. The CD itself is almost perfect, with Sexy Love, Stay, So Sick, Mirror, Let Go, & Get Down Like That sticking out as great songs. The unreleased tracks for this CD are HOT too. You Ain't Gotta Go & Don't Worry Me Now DEFINITELY should have made the tracklisting. Can't wait till he once again stops writing non-stop hits for everyone else, and puts together another CD of his own.
-Favorite Tracks-
-Sexy Love
-Mirror
-Let Go
-When Your Mad
-You Ain't Gotta Go (Unreleased)
Danity Kane - Danity Kane
So, I'm sure Bart or whoever, is like, falling out of their computer sure, but whatever. These bitches sound pretty good all together. Yeah, I may hurt my throat trying to harmonize with all their high-pitched notes, or wish someone in the group could sing like Bee or Mariah, but all together, they make a nice little package. Diddy has ****ed them over already, since the 2 songs that would appeal to the masses have been released, and not in the way they should have. But I think nice tracks like Right Now and Want It may have a chance for finally pushing them over the mil mark. Overall, just a nice, girl group CD.
-Favorite Tracks-
-One Shot
-Want It
-Showstoppers
-Ooh Ahh
-Ain't It True (Interlude) Yes, an interlude
Beyonce - B'Day
So, this should have been the best album of the year. I'm not so sure it actually is, but it should have been. At least according to expectations. After running through singles like Maurice Green at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, she finally hit gold with my favorite song off the album, Irreplaceable. And while I was warming up my non-existent vocal chords everyday with it, the rest of the songs started to not sound so bad. Freekum Dress, Get Me Bodied, & Green Light are all hot. And while I got sick of Ring The Alarm, it was definitely THE SONG for about 3 weeks, lol. A very nice stepping stone till that one album we know Bee is gonna make in the future that will solidify her as a legend.
-Favorite Tracks-
-Irreplaceable
-Upgrade U
-Resentment
-Kitty Kat
-Deja Vu

The Top 10 of 2006
Time to wrap this shiznit up before I go back to school tomorrow
3. All-American Rejects – "Move Along"
So, it was sort of an epiphany when I finally realized how much I loved this song. It was that song you always like, but you like 1 or 2 songs more than it, at anytime. It's never realized as your absolute favorite. Anyways, I always love the lead singers vocals, and this was no exception. Nice record.

None, was on hiatus.
2. Ne-Yo – "Sexy Love"
My favorite song from "In My Own Words", I had sort of worn it out before the video ever came out. That video by the way..a little disappointed Ne-Yo. Anyways, I loved the beat to this, and besides that, I really don't know why I liked it so much, lol.

1. Beyonce – "Irreplaceable"
So, BEST song on B'Day, BEST single of the year, BEST song of the ****ing year. When I first heard the album, I knew this had #1 written all over. This was the type of song that I thought would be repeatedly crafted on B'Day, meaning I expected a CD full of masterpieces, but it's good enough. My love for this song makes up for everything. I mean, where else does bee actually NOT oversing, has a great beat, a catchy saying (to the left, to the left), and more? Only in "Irreplaceable". I see at least 2 more weeks for my bitch @ #1, and I'm pretty sure you'll agree that you at least like the song somewhat! Admit it! Best song of the year for me. The End.
