...And Now The #1 Song of 2006!
01. Thrice - Red Sky Debut: 3/3/06
Retired: 4/22/06
Days at #1: 5
Some of you may be suprised with this being #1. The reason why it's #1 is because I feel a certain connection this this song that is hard to explain. Dustin Kensrue's vocals on this song are beautiful. It's a shame this song didn't do well on Alternative radio because it damn well deserved it. The video I believe made the song even better. The animation going in the background is amazing with the blue behind it. I saw Thrice live this year at the Taste of Chaos tour and when they played this song, I felt as if I was sucked in to a new world. "Red Sky" has that kind of impact on me. In 2007, Thrice are releasing a 4 disc album to represent four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. I'm really excited for this release and it's one album I have high expectations for in 2007.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my list. A survivor for my top 50 will be up in a couple of weeks.
