I hope the video skyrockets the song to #1 on iTunes. She's getting closer to Carly (still a long way to go) and farther from the #3 (not counting Bieber of course)

Plus, she has no other competition other than Carly.

I don't know how much longer CMM can go for, the radio stations in my area have basically stopped playing it. It's reached it's peak now, so it'll be a battle between Rih & Katy for that #1 spot

This was the perfect time for WA to go big! She has absolutely no competition! I love Rihanna, but I think WHYB has had it's peak, basically it was at it's biggest during Idol. Plus, CMM is starting to die down, there's nothing to stand in it's way!

WHYB hasn't moved from the #7 area of the top 10 for a while, I'm not worried yet.

Anything's possible but I think she'll be ok. Katy has quite a bit of promo coming up. MMVAs on Sunday, Jimmy Kimmel performance, Jay Leno show (non-performance), Macy's 4th of July performance, and of course the video release. They're doing a great job with promo. The only thing else we can hope for is a great video, continued airplay increases, and sales.
