Doesn't Mariah Carey have the record for highest airplay? Honestly I don't think that matters much. I only cared about 1st male artist but race matters very little to me. I do think its a major accomplishment that he is the 1st to do this with an alternative/rock song though

I read that Gotye is releasing a 10-remix compilation of STIUTK later this week. Does the sales of these remixes count separately or added to the original ?

If you buy the remixes separately, they count to the original.
Seems like a strategy from Gotye's management team to release the remixes at this stage to keep the song on top for a long period of time.

The song is good and I love it but I think it's time for a change, the Top 10 is getting old for me now. And I really want CMM to reach #1 for at least one or two weeks, I would be shocked if Gotye keeps blocking Carly and she never reaches #1
I think Gotye would be just approaching the 150M mark on the old Mediabase figures. The numbers are inflated as ****.
Not so much. When changes was made i recalculated some old song peaks using average increase % and RITD was 195M then, so Gotye could be about 170M on old figures. And RITD BDS numbers was much stronger mainly because of Latin AI, that is not included in Mediabase total.
