I'm always trolling her on ATRL (because of her fans many times), and even though she's not the most talented girl in the world, her music ***** so bad. I've been realizing this the last weeks she has a really good discography, and her voice is kinda unique.
I really like her songs, fashion/image and her music videos. However, her performances are pretty weak and sometimes her attitude rubs me the wrong way. So I guess I like her as an artist but sometimes as a person she makes poor decisions I don't approve of.

I feel like she's lost her artistic integrity in order to continue to push this bad-ass/kinky/bad girl persona that people are getting tired of.
She really needs a new reinvention, or contrary to popular belief, her career will start going south like other popstars we can name.
So, I mean, I still like her, but I wish she'd put more effort into writing her own stuff these days.
I don't think she really went for that with LOUD tbh. I think TTT has really been the first era where she has become a bad girl. GGGB was more of a marketing ploy but she was still naive and sweet. RR was more of a dark, depressing victim you sympathisized with. Loud was just her returning to a nicer more fun place. TTT has been the truly controversial era where she has acted like a bad girl, imo.
You do have a point that I've said in the past though where I felt LOUD was step backwards for Rihanna. I like what she tried to do with TTT but it needed more time in the oven. She/her label rushed it and it came out half baked which is why the era has become so messy. We Found Love and Where Have You Been should be succesful and memorable singles from this era but it had a lot more potential and a lot more statements to have been made. Birthday Cake should've been marketed correctly and what not because that would've been a succesful single.
