I can't at the anti-choicers talking about how "precious" life is, but at the same time think women should never have abortions because the baby serves as a "punishment" for women who dare to have sex. What kind of contradiction...?
And newsflash: no form of contraception is 100% effective. Condoms can break.
Thank you everyone for the helpful advice.. I spoke with my sister this morning and it seems as though she is reconsidering the abortion, although she hasn't cancelled yet. I will be sure to let you guys know of her decision.
Definitely. They had sex. They should be accounted of whatever happens. The decision belongs to the girl, but you should at least try to stop her from getting an abortion. Setting religion aside, I am pro-life and that child has a right to live a life. He's a child for God's sake, he's already starting his life in the uterus of his/her mother. I know a lot of people would say that it's her right, but the baby has one too and that's the right to live and that should not be taken away from him/her.
A fetus cannot have rights until it is born or at least viable. This a slippery slope argument to say a zygote growing inside has rights. It is not a child.
I can definitely see where you're coming from, but it's her choice. If she feels that she should get an abortion you can't try to come in between that. She obviously had to think this over a lot, so she should know that she's making a very important decision either way, and that she is completely sure of what she is going to do.
Some people here are giving me Westboro Baptist teas
I don't know how anyone thinks they have the right to judge ANY women who choose abortion. You have no right to judge. You aren't a GOD. Get off your high horse and worry about your own damn life, and stop trying to push your views and feelings on someone who has to make such a decision.
I don't know how far she is, but I think it's the best thing to do for her. She's young and probably doesn't have a lot of money, when she has to take full care of the baby the next few years she won't be able to follow education and her life would most likely be a mess.
Maybe it's because I grew up in a country where it's legal and almost everyone thinks about it the same way as I do, but let the poor child get that abortion.
